what tool said. and dont you think we've put up with all this crap for too long? i think its time all the dedicated players start keeping more of an eye out for tese things.... at least until mav's new antibot goes on a dropping spree xD when i'm finally finished upgrading the anticheat for rAz3r.... and by "i" i mean my friend..... it'll be raz3r's turn to shine. although i bet if he wasnt being such a dick and refusing to let me tell you who he is..... i bet you all know who he is..... he used to be a pretty good modder/mapper (pretty muc still is good) but he quit like 4 years ago. to respect his wishes to remain anonymous..... figure it out on yer own xD. if i can convince him, ill put his old quake name in the credits on the mod. it'll still say "made by Kenny and Teknician89" but it will hve many new features coming with the new anticheat. including new commands and updates like delag and some more new gametypes..... a preview of the new gametype called "DeathRun" that my friend designed is basically a race in which you can kill your opponents to freeze them for 3 seconds, this new gametype was totally designed by him and requires a SPECIAL map EXCLUSIVE to the mod. (i take no credit xD) on another note: there will be a new updated verson of Firebomb that can be placed like a proximity mine and it CAN be customized to explode scattering rockets, BFG shots, or even Railgun slugs. and dnt let me forget to metion that the new version will also include a client mod if you wish your server to be more secure. it works like noghost in the way you can force the requirement of having the client. also as a last preview, there will be an UNRELEASED map pack including THREE maps for each gametype designed for rAz3r mod and made by the modder who has so graciously helped me. it will be available as a side download if you wish to use it.

also we reserve the right to remove features if they are damage or crash servers in ANY way or manner.

we are just mere days away from the next stages of testing. right now we're about to test the new gametypes and maps to make sure they wrk properly.


also if it works correctly, we may even add special trip mines to all you portal nerds out there! if it works. it will sound a buzzer to alert the user and instantly cause the person caught in the trap to be fragged OR if "g_minefrag" is set to 0, it will teleport the enemy to another area, giving the user time to escape and continue the fragging. this new mod will come with a readme explaining ALL of the new features except for a very special one you will have to find out for yourself Smile btw... this feature is basically a new announcer for gameplay. we're working on it but we have a few glitches to work out. we currently have the announces for how many frags left up to 3, the one minute warning, "HOLY SHIT", "OWNED" (replaces "HUMILIATION"), and there are a few new ones such as when you go on a killing spree, it announces "UNTOUCHABLE!" and there is also an announce for wen you get killed by someone with a killing spree.... "BUTTHURT!" among a few other funny ones like when the game is over, the person in 1st place on either team should hear "GOOD GAME!" and the person on either team with the fewest kills should say "GAME OVER". we will add more in the future but we are experimenting with new voices and are still working on it Smile




until it is ready, GET GEARED UP AND READY TO PWN!



first release will be private and reserved to people who already own a rAz3r server but feel free to wait until the second!

esimated first release will most likely be late this month due to major delays and mistakes we made along the way. and we have alot more testing to do... so be patient. when its ready, the hackers will probably drop like flies >=]


this is just a fraction of what raz3rwill have to offer, so be ready to get overwhelmed.

my buddy who is helping me make this is VERY pro and i'm VERY noob. what a couple xD
he has more experience than i do, thats for sure, and he is probably the fastest and most accurate coder still making mods for q3, except he hasnt coded for q3 in forever, and he hasnt done a project like this all by himself before. well hes not by himself, but he is the primary coder. im just the person who helps test it pretty much. but if it weren't for me, this idea would never have been revived.

no lmfao. "HOLY SHIT" is primarily used to let you know you got a near-impossible frag, like a fast air-shot. "OWNED" is the replacement t "HUMILIATION" when you get gaunted. an "UNTOUCHABLE" plays when you attain a killing spree.

Yes, but you want to keep it age a appropiate if you expect people to play. Imagine some kid playing, mom passes by and hears the computer screaming "HOLY SHIT!".

"OWNED" is a retarded word and it gets annoying fast.

you might be right about the holy shit part..... but isnt this game built for adults anyways xD i mean, its "M" rated lmfao.


and owned, eh, hate to say it, but after some toying with it, its old after about three times of hearing it. any suggestions on possible replacements?

xD tad..... it only took me 30 minutes to write the whole damn thing..... and thx whoever split this from that other thread.



also, the trip mines work, but they are TOTALLY invisible on the demo version. and two gametypes when turned on, cause minor crashes. will be fixing the issues so far today.

UPDATES:
the two gametypes causing crashes are now FIXED.
there are two new gametype ideas being tossed around and may be put into the gameplay.
there was an issue with the three-drop bansystem with an important part of code that wasnt actively working..... this issue has been patched.
there is now options to add certain names to a list to block from connecting or being renamed to. (eg. "Monk3y" is a default block but it can be unadded)
there is now an option to censor wording/naming if you like your players to keep their mouths clean.
it is now NOT an option to turn off certain commands like the new "Raz_antibot", "Raz_CheatScan".
"g_nopublicchat" has been upgraded to "Raz_Chat" which brings new options too, if you set "Raz_Chat to 1, chat is normal, 2 is mainly for disabling teamchat, 0 is public disabled, 3 is /tell disabled, 4 is a combo of team and public disabled, and 5 is a combo of public and /tell disabling. if you'd rather use classic "g_nopublicchat", set "Raz_NGcmds" to 1. but doing so also disables many new rAz3r features and enables some noghost-familiar features.

a few new commands have been added to the team settings. DO NOT USE MORE THAN ONE AT A TIME! (Team games ONLY)
"Raz_Clanwar" setting to 1 sets a noghost-like environment, turns off map-rotations (if you have one) and switches to q3dm7 for a clan scrim setting.
"Raz_AW" setting to 1 turns on all weapons except for bfg. weapons with explosions hurt and railjumps are disabled by default.
"Raz_defrag" setting to 1 turns on defrag mode. its similar to a/w except weapons dont hurt and this setting ONLY works on maps that DID NOT come with quake 3.
"Raz_CTF" setting to 1 autoswitches the map to q3ctf1 and turns on the basic ctf gameplay with maps in rotation that COME with quake AND some that are included with the mod. these maps will be available WITH the client mod for rAz3r.
"Raz_Noob" setting to 1 adds 7 bots on skill 3 to blue team and permanently locks blue team until setting is set back to 0. it also moves you to red automatically.
"Raz_razerclassic" when set to 1, it gives you back the same experience that rAz3r mod gave you before updates.

I skimmed real fast through the list and:

If you want "combo" commands, it is best to set additives, like noghost. X command is 1, Y one is 2, X and Y enabled are 3.

Raz_clanwar is a good idea, but maybe make it so "Raz_clanwar q3dm3" uses the clanwar setting and changes to dm3, same for every map.

I'm sure there's a lot more suggestions but I'm not bored enough to read through right now.

good idea but it might be a pain because ive tried that and it kept thinking i called a "devmap" command for turning on cheats.

i'll look into it a bit more though Smile

we are now done with the Client Auth system so it should search baseq3 and disallow certain things that AREN'T in the server's baseq3 (EXCLUDING MAPS/NOGHOST CLIENT)
also we have added a new coder to our team, so our team now consists of 6 people! 7 if you count me....
we have 3 coders, 3 testers and me.

suggestions are now closed. Raz3r will be ready around april if we dont make a major fuck-up again

raz3r mod's dead. i attempted to revitalize and recode it, but failed. nobody has the time on their hands to update the anti-cheating thing and every server it runs on is plagued by cheaters.
